New Kid in Town.
Greeting to fellow writers and readers.
My name is Ted Blasche and I am a retired Army Officer. I wrote doctrine and training articles while on active duty, but since retiring, I have concentrated on military oriented SciFi. I belong to Willamette Writers in Portland and the Beaverton Evening Writer's Group in guess where. I'm one of the December Hodge Podge finalists, and I hope Kellan Publishing will publish my novel, "The Rust Bucket Chronicles." If not, I still love the Hodge Podge concept, a great experience generating exercize.

Hi Samantha
I see you're a gamer, I have a friend that develops board games. We're in the same writer's group.

Re: New Kid in Town.
I don't play a lot of board games (the last board game I played was the digital version of The Witcher Adventure Game, and I don't know how far back I have to go to find the last one I played before that--over 5 years, at least), but that's pretty cool!

Hello Ted!
Nice to see someone else interested in military writing around here. I've never served, but my father did, and my younger brother still does. I'm a military history buff myself and if you ever feel the need to discuss anything on that regard (especially the first half of the XX Century and the colonial wars afterwards, the areas where I'm more at ease) feel free to PM me.

I spent 23 years in the Army, doing just about everything. Are you writing about military things?

Re: New Kid in Town.
I'll have to admit that I have the utmost respect for those who've served their country.
As an history buff I really like to research and even write. In my stories it is usual for military people to have a large amount of screen time. For example, my first big project was a novelization of the videogame MechWarrior Living Legends, which is easy to get and available freely. With that said, though, I have the ambition of one day engaging in proper military historical fiction. I would really love ot go through that path.

Hello everyone. Ted, nice to see you active. Notice Kelli has Rust Bucket Chronicles out for you. Good job. My series is coming out soon. 23 years in anything is a long service, kudos to you. That's perseverance and I see you are a fellow writing group person. I moderate our local group the, Fellowship of the Scribblers. We are taking the summer off as most have families and are active with their children's activities.
Hello fellow authors
My name is vicki lee zell and I am relatively new here. I just want to say hey everyone, nice to meet you. I have been writing for a long time if you count going back to the start. Life happened and I was lost in the shuffle of everyday being a blast or a measure of craziness. I now have two novels out there, both mystery suspense thrillers and both are now in audio, which I love, because to hear a professional actor speak the words of my characters which I myself conjured up in my own mind, well...it is truly amazing to hear my tale come to life. Next step, the movies. Script writing however is a totally different genre and one I find not that easy. I hope all are well and happy and moving forward. Respectfully, VLZ
