Hi there! Name's Frank and I enjoy helping.
Hello everyone!
My name is Francisco Duarte, but you can call me Frank.
As an author I would describe myself as an overeager man-child. I like big and noisy, although I also enjoy to ground my characters in reality and make them as funny as possible. Other than that, I always try to push them to the limit of human endurance and bring forth some cool action scenes.
For Kellan I've written two short pieces, Mistletoe for the Generation Lost and Dreams of Realities Forgotten. Both are romantic sci-fi epics, or so do I like to believe.
I do like to help others, give advice and talk about the technical difficulties of designing and writing entertaining stories. Hope I can get to talk to you all about all sorts of interesting issues.

Good to meet you! I'm not a huge sci-fi reader, myself, although I just started reading the Vorkosigan Saga.

Hello! I'm a new author and have my first novel coming out later in 2015.
I have a question about author websites: does anyone have one? What elements did you include on it? How do you maintain it?

Hey there!
I have an author site: http://www.samanthalienhard.com/
I've included the basics: blog, a list of my published stories, an "about" section, and a contact page. Mine also has a "hire me" section because I do freelance writing, and a section for reviews because of the nature of my blogging.
You'll find contradictory opinions about this, but I read the advice that if an author only blogs about writing, they'll attract other writers--which is good, but the majority of readers are not writers. Therefore, authors should blog about another topic they're interested about, which will draw in readers who may then become interested in the author's fiction as well.
So as for maintaining my site, I blog on a regular basis, and a good portion of the content is about video games. I also update any of the pages, like my fiction page or list of articles, as I get new material.

Awesome! Thanks for the advice, Samantha!
