Hello, fellow writers!

I'm Kate Sebeny, author of the literary mainstream novella "The Last Best Thing." I was glad to trip across this forum while exploring the Kellan Publishing site and am very much looking forward to rubbing virtual shoulders with other authors.

I particularly enjoyed Samantha's blog about filter words. This useful concept puts me in mind of my own grad schools days. It was an interesting time in my life, two years of trying to cram all the information about writing that I could into my head -- while commuting long distances, teaching two undergraduate classes per semester and maintaining a large family, garden and house. Now I wonder where I ever got the energy for such a juggling act. I wish Samantha luck with keeping all those balls in the air!
